Reading Strategy:
a) Thompkins #45 (tea party)
b) This is when students participate in a tea party and read excerpts from a book. They move around the room and talk about them with other students.
c) This is helpful with this book, because it is a way to familiarize the students with new text and also gives students time to reflect with other students about what they just read. It opens the floor for discussion amongst the students and they can build on their comprehension when they review vocabulary and main ideas throughout the book.
