Readers who will like this: Children that come from strong Christian values will enjoy this and be able to make connections. Children who enjoy fantasy novels will also enjoy this book.
Response/Rating (1-4): 4; I love how this book is written and keeps you turning the pages. Lewis does a wonderful job of making his characters well rounded and easy to identify with. This book has a lot of Christian connections and could be considered a Christian fiction novel. I would not recommend this book for a classroom largely because it will be very hard to teach it without making religious connections. This would be a wonderful piece of literature to use in a private religious school.
One question you would ask before a read aloud: Have you ever wished you could go to the back of your closet and discover a new world?
